Our loose leaf Imperial Puerh is a particularly fine variety from the home of puerh tea, Yunnan Province in China. Clear-tasting and richly flavoursome, it's substantially full-bodied without a hint of heaviness.
Weight: 50g
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from strong light and odours. Once opened, store in an airtight container.
Unlike many lesser-quality puerhs which tend to be heavy and musty, you'll find the earthy notes are beautifully balanced by a fresh, clean sweetness in this. The result is surprisingly refreshing.

The Only Fermented Tea
Puerh's unique among tea for its processing methods: the leaves are packed into "cakes" and kept in a warm, dark room where they gradually ferment. The final tea has a distinctively earthy flavour that's considered an acquired taste. We think it's definitely one worth acquiring…
Buyers tip – Rinse the leaves before brewing as this will improve the flavour.
